Passionate about sustainable and resilient growth, my professional career spanning over three-and-half decades focused on managing risks and leveraging opportunities through sound sustainable practices in a resource constrained world bestowed with challenges from environmental degradation and climate change. I developed advisory practices, provided stewardship, led solutions, team and business/market around sustainability and human development, climate change, ESG, resource efficiency, sustainable technology, renewable energy, climate financing and circularity. Well-networked across corporates, government, industry associations, multilateral and bilateral agencies as well as not-for profits, I have covered practically all sectors and thematic areas related to sustainability, social development and climate change, across geographies – Indian subcontinent, South- and South-East Asia, Middle-East, North Africa and Europe.
Currently as Partner, Business Advisory Services, leading the Sustainability & ESG practice of BDO in India. In the past, have developed Climate Change & Sustainability practice of Ernst & Young (EY) in India (2001-16); Partner in EY from 2008; spent 2 years in EY Dubai (2014-15) for leading and developing the sustainability practice in MENA; then created and grown the sustainability practice in a boutique firm Thinkthrough Consulting, and also nurtured a team on health care systems strengthening. Early in professional life, worked with MECON, a leading engineering consulting organization, from 1985-2001 (16 years) – spearheading environmental consulting in Delhi.
